Our Nature Newbies class is designed to get your little ones excited about exploring nature and to educate them on what’s happening around them throughout the different seasons.
We will discuss wildlife, trees, plants, and all things local to New England! During the session we will focus on what’s happening during the current season. So while outside of class, it will spark curiosity within your child to look around for different things they’ve learned about in Nature Newbies!
This class will be lead by Sarah Collins. Sarah graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a degree in Wildlife and Conservation Biology and to help supplement her studies, she also volunteered with the RI Department of Environmental Management (DEM) assisting with field work and outreach events for adults and children. She is also certified in Project WILD & Growing Up Wild through DEM which is a curriculum based on exploring nature with young children. Sarah has been a part of our community taking classes with her beautiful daughter over the past year and we are so excited to give her the space to help your kids get creative & curious!
This is a one time free drop in class- our hope is to offer the class for our second fall session if we get enough interest!
This class will be held on Saturday October 10th at 10:00am, registration is required to attend as space is limited.
