Mom & Baby Yoga

Congratulations! You have nurtured your baby for nine months and gave birth to a beautiful little one. Now you are ready to gain back the flexibility and strength you once had, bond with your baby, and connect with other moms.

Help your body gently recover from pregnancy and childbirth and ease the transition to motherhood with yoga specifically designed for new moms and their babies ages 6 weeks to crawling. Moms will benefit from posture series that strengthen, tone, and restore while engaging and incorporating baby
throughout the class. A wonderful opportunity to bond with your baby and regain physical and emotional balance.

What do the babies do? Throughout the class you can involve your baby in the movements by holding him or her, or having your baby close to you on your blanket.

When can I start? You can start 4 - 6 weeks postpartum with an ok from your doctor. For cesarean births, it's suggested between 8 - 10 weeks after giving birth. Again, check with your doctor for the go-ahead. You can join a class after the session has begun (space permitting). No previous yoga experience required.

How long can I participate? You can continue to enjoy the class as long as you are comfortable. Some moms stop after their babies start to crawl, but others continue on long after.
